Joinery

Working with wood

All of the joinery I make is individually designed for your home, which can echo existing features if required. Made from a suitable certified timber of good quality and fully sanded and finished to a high standard.

Doors & Windows

I have been making replacement doors and windows for many years, and offer a full fitting service as well. Each job is individually specified for your particular requirements and not just a standard profile. Fully sanded and painted with microporous paint. I use Industry standard weather seals and double glazing units and work closely with a local glazier, to ensure all glass is professionally fitted.

Conservation & Heritage Joinery

Having worked on quite a few listed buildings, I have good experience in this area. I can closely echo existing mouldings and styles, to retain those quirky details that make original joinery so interesting. As you can see from the pictures I have repaired old window frames and sashes, often re-glazing with the original hand made glass, but have also worked with modern slim double glazing.

Every thing I make is bespoke or to order. I like to use traditional techniques such as draw boring or wedged mortice and tenons and am meticulous about using good quality materials.

I have worked on old buildings and enjoy restoring good quality small buildings, bell towers, conservatories, summerhouses etc. I have been keenly restoring and building my own barn conversion with modern extension, with many quality materials old and new, often re-claimed and usually locally sourced.
